Length: 13 months contract with the possibility of extension or permanent
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid
Hours: 9am - 5pm EST

JOB DESCRIPTION
The NA TPS Analytics & Reporting Coordinator is accountable to support the NA TPS Business Analytics and broader TPS teams in developing reports and in-depth analysis for the NA TPS business and day to day of processes related to revenue and expense management and financial reporting. This role will assist in producing key metrics reports of varying frequency, monitor performance and will investigate and resolve issues as per procedural guidelines. The incumbent is accountable to contribute to business planning analysis and will perform investigations to evaluate the impacts of change. This role will understand opportunities/exposures and identify trends relating to financial and operational issues.

Consults on analytical solutions to understand, analyze, and synthesize requirements, goals and objectives relative to data and business intelligence needs and to enable high-quality, fact-based business decisions to drive better business outcomes.

  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Analyzes data and information to provide subject-matter insights and recommendations.
  • Supports development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Documents and maintain operational procedures and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes
  • Execute regular and ad-hoc reports, and templates
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works mostly independently.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Financial Analysis:
  • Manage vendor invoice payments to include coding, accruals, and forecasting support.
  • Provide advisory invoice payment support through G/L and responsibility code knowledge and research and escalate as required.
  • Provide financial analysis, planning and forecasting inputs related to expenses and FTE to support internal monthly, quarterly and annual processes.
  • Perform deep drills into complex data to provide business insights and communicate findings to various audiences.
  • Produce and distribute accurate, timely and value-add reports of key financial and sales metrics. Provide commentary as required. Maintain processes that ensure accuracy, integrity and relevance of content.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Bank policy for financial analysis and relevant source systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Perform investigations of transactions and performance reporting inquires on a proactive basis to develop a deep understanding business performance. As requested formulate and provide recommendations on opportunities to enhance financial business performance.
  • Monitor status of operational results for sales leadership ensuring objectives are being met, and assisting with the development of recommended actions, as required, to remain on track. Follow prescribed action plans as necessary.
Systems Support
  • Provide support for key systems ensuring effective operation, addressing issues and answering questions from users as needed.
  • Provide analytics and insights developed from system generated data to assist the sales force and product management in identification of customer and product opportunities
Risk Management & Control
  • Monitor and make recommendation to improve data quality where possible.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to banking regulations and company directives by reviewing the appropriate reference material and completing the annual compliance training coursed as required in order to effectively manage risk, operational, and compliance requirements.
Change & Innovation
  • Maintain working knowledge of source systems which provide key data inputs to manage inputs into models for analysis and planning & forecasting support, with focus on understanding impacts of change on contact volumes, productivity and Full Time Equivalent FTE.
  • Continually seeks to identify opportunities for improvement to all existing processes, including tracking, reporting and communication methods. Ensures that change management of improvements are thoroughly tested and/or evaluated prior to implementation and that the change implementation plan addresses any concerns.

MUST-HAVE-SKILLS:
  • Previous experience in Analytical role - 3-5 years
  • Experience in financial analysis, accounting skills and commercial acumen
  • Strong problem solver
  • Proficient in Excel - dealing with large amounts of data
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Knowledge/experience with Spotfire, Access
  • Previous finance/banking experience
