We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Treasury Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the Cash Management & Treasury capabilities within OLG. This role supports the efficient management of cash through monitoring and management of bank deposits, payments, transfers and other activity.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director, Tax & Treasury, you will be empowered to:

In conjunction with the Senor Treasury Analyst to review and report on daily cash flows, preparing the information for the Senior Treasury Manager and the Director of Tax & Treasury

Support the maintenance of daily cash flow spreadsheets for cash flow management and reporting

Collect, organize and record information with respect to Service Provider gaming deposits, digital gaming wallet deposits and withdrawals, digital gaming refunds and incorporate into cash flows for the analysis by the Senior Treasury Manager and Director of Tax & Treasury

Responsible for tracking, reconciling and reporting of miscellaneous deposits and pre-authorized debit payments

Collect information and prepare journal entries for cash receipts, bank charges, bank interest revenue and bank transfers

Responsible for ensuring up to date banking information is maintained for OLG vendors in Microsoft D365 and also in RBC Express for wire payments.

Prepare wire payments daily and record into the accounting records as required

Submit government remittances including monthly HST payments through the government portal and payroll source deduction remittances.

Monitor the Treasury shared email inbox for requests from business partners for support for Treasury related matters

Investigate to establish and verify proper G/L account to be debited for bank related activities

Investigate bank discrepancies or issues and work with internal partners to assist with resolution

Perform cheque validation processes and fraud review to ensure only valid OLG cheques are processed

Update Microsoft D365 accounting system with updated US foreign exchange rates weekly

Review monthly bank statements and reconcile for any unrecorded bank activity. Correspond with internal stakeholders and circulate bank statements to internal stakeholders as required.

Monitor for material fluctuations in bank balances that require communication with the bank

Manage proper storage and retention of all supporting documents for banking related activity for payments, deposits, transfers and journal entries managed by Treasury.

Provide professional and competent administrative and technical support to the Senior Treasury Manager and the Director of Tax & Treasury

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: 2 years of progressive accounting related experience in financial reporting and cash flow preparation | Computer software skills, including demonstrated advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PeopleSoft etc. | Skills and experience with PowerBI and Data Lakes would be an asset

Education: University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent in Business, Finance or related field and progress towards a Treasury designation (e.g. Certified Treasury Professional) | Knowledge of banking procedures and requirements, accounting principles to support treasury management and cash flow analysis | Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and other applicable accounting frameworks

Critical Skills: Attention to detail and good organizational skills | Ability to complete critical tasks with time sensitive timelines | Ability to investigate issues or discrepancies and collaborate with internal stakeholders and members of the Treasury team to help resolve them
