Overview
We are currently searching for the
Treasury Analyst
to join our Financial Planning department.
Job Summary:
Funds operation
FX Rates Quotation & Dealing
Internal Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP)
Securities Investment and Management
Prepare treasury related reports to stakeholders
Manage Brokerage Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GIC)
Support for internal/external Audits reviews
Participate new treasury related initiatives
Perform other ad-hoc assignments requested by Senior Manager and CFO
Key Responsibilities:
Funds operation
Daily management of cash including fund transfers for liquidity, profitability complying internal requirements
Prepare daily fund operation report including reports on fund position, summarized B/S, details of corporate and bank account and the like.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly cash-flow Forecast.
Place surplus on Call Loans, execute and effect FX Swaps, Money Market Deals as well as Long-term Deposits as part of liquidity management.
Regularly monitor market rates/MM/financial environment
Maintain manual
FX Rates Quotation & Dealing
Ensure daily spot FX rates are being updated in line with market rates and notify FX rate quote (USD/CAD, KRW/CAD. EUR/CAD, JPY/CAD) to all branches and all related parties.
Liaise with customers and branch staffs wishing to place orders for FX spot or forward trading
Monitor daily foreign currency position to minimize FX revaluation loss
Analyze the economic outlook and market conditions including forecast of interest rate and FX movement by collecting market information through newspaper and Thomson Reuters
Participate in special projects, where required, such as performing research on assigned subject matter
Internal Fund Transfer Pricing
Update weekly internal fund transfer pricing (FTP) rates
Analyze the FTP rates trend in order to assist in decision to improve profitability and liquidity control
Monitor GIC rates and post daily rates
Prepare various GIC analysis
Monitor daily new GIC funding and maturate payment
Liase with Cannex
Maintain manual
Securities Investment and Management
Investment planning, dealing, and carry out securities portfolio management.
Provide monthly and quarterly reports viz. Monthly Securities Outstanding Deal List and Quarterly Securities Investment Reports and the likes
Maintain manual
Prepare treasury related reports to stakeholders
Perform other ad-hoc assignments requested by Manager and CFO
Support for internal/external Audits reviews
Participate new treasury initiatives project
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent academic background.
1 year of treasury or banking experience
Strong time management and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Have strategic thinking with analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Understanding of financial market, Canadian banking service and financial instruments
Knowledge of economic principles and practices.
Proficiency in MSO skills.
Korean speaking is an asset
