Job Summary


We are seeking dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide vital public health and community care across diverse settings. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive nursing services in community clinics, long-term care facilities, emergency response, and home health environments. The ideal candidates will possess a strong clinical background, exceptional patient assessment skills, and a passion for improving community health outcomes. As a Travel RN or LPN, you will be instrumental in supporting public health initiatives, managing acute and chronic conditions, and ensuring high-quality patient care in dynamic settings.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks. Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide specialized care including IV infusion therapy, catheterization, suturing, dialysis management, and ventilator support as required. Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for trauma medicine or emergency room cases in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging like sonography or mammography when applicable. Deliver community-based services including home care visits, hospice & palliative medicine support, geriatrics care, behavioral health interventions, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. Assist in discharge planning, case management, health coaching, and education tailored to diverse populations including pediatrics, neonatal patients, or senior citizens in assisted living or nursing home settings. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records documenting intake assessments, medication administration, CPT coding for procedures, ICD coding for diagnoses (ICD-9/ICD-10), and other medical documentation standards. Support infectious disease control efforts and participate in outreach programs aligned with NCQA standards for quality healthcare delivery. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient units such as ICU, PICU, ORs, or outpatient clinics to deliver seamless patient care.

Skills



Extensive clinical experience with critical care environments including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), and hospital medicine. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or similar platforms for documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation. Skilled in advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion/venipuncture, tube feeding management, ostomy care, sterile processing techniques, and airway management. Experience administering injections and performing laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy or specimen collection/processing. Familiarity with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy or esthetic laser treatments is advantageous but not required. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (neonatal ventilator care), adults in acute care settings (medical-surgical), long-term residents in memory or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases along with expertise in pain management strategies. Competence in handling complex cases involving infectious diseases or post-acute care needs within a variety of healthcare environments. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; compassionate approach to working with people with disabilities or cognitive impairments. Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
