We are looking for a caring, Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for the nursing to join an amazing team at remote locations across BC. Facility Address: All over BC - Remote practice. Ability to commute/relocate:

• Must be able to relocate to Vancouver Island and commute to the Duncan area prior to start date (required)

Compensation: $59.65-74.90 per hour + Free accommodation - Free Accommodation - Benefits Position Details: Working on both part-time and full time rotations, the successful applicant will be flown out to remote communities on 4 week on, 4 week off opportunities across some of the most beautiful landscapes BC has to offer. Job type: Full time, Part-time (0.5 FTE). Job description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients\' health and continuously monitor for post-operative complications.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the medical team.
• Administer medications, including IVs, ensuring adherence to the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used for patient care, such as IV infusions and wound vacuums.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to communicate patient needs, progress, and potential discharge plans.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-operative care, medications, and potential complications.
• Respond swiftly to emergent situations, initiating life-saving interventions and alerting medical staff as needed.
• Document all patient interactions, interventions, and changes in condition in the electronic health record.
• Supervise and mentor LPNs and nursing assistants, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on current best practices in medical-surgical nursing.

Qualifications:

• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
• Graduate of recognized school of nursing.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• 1 year RN experience in Canada in acute care (preferred)
