We service injured workers, accident victims, discharged patients and others. This position will be within the local area and applicants are encouraged to have a car to commute to client homes. Applicants are invited to apply, and interviews will be held at the end of this week. RESPONSIBILITIES Community Health Nurses deliver comprehensive health services in First Nations communities. They are responsible for in-depth nursing knowledge, skills, clinical expertise and advanced judgement through consultation, clinical practice, and leadership. They facilitate knowledge transfer through health promotion and disease prevention and conduct mental health assessments and referrals. Experience: Recent and significant experience (+5 years) as a Registered Nurse (RN) providing Community Health or Primary Care nursing services in one or more of the following areas: 1. Community Health (Public Health and Home and Community Care) 2. Primary Care 3. Urgent or Emergency Care 4. Acute or Intensive Care Job Types: casual, part time, full time. Schedule:

  • POSITIONS ARE IN REMOTE AND/OR ISOLATED FIRST NATIONS COMMUNITIES
Community Health Nurses deliver comprehensive community health nursing services to remote and/or isolated First Nations communities within Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and Quebec. They will provide nursing knowledge, skills, clinical expertise and advanced judgment through consultation, clinical practice, leadership, and facilitate knowledge transfer through health promotion and disease prevention. Language: \xc2\xb7 English \xc2\xb7 French Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Valid license with no restrictions as a registered nurse in a province or territory of Canada. Certifications: 1. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers (Mandatory) 2. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the American Heart Association. (Mandatory) 3. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the American Heart Association; (Mandatory) 4. International Trauma Life Support (ITLS); (Mandatory) 5. FNIHB Nursing Education Module on Controlled Substances in First Nations. 6. Education Program for Immunization Competencies (EPIC) \xe2\x80\x93 (Alberta & Manitoba only) 7. Proof of successful completion of ISC Initial Immunization Competency Program and subsequent Immunization Recertification, including ongoing revisions, as provided by ISC. (Manitoba only) 8. Proof of successful completion of ISC Immunization and Communicable diseases modules, including ongoing revisions, through an ISC indicated platform (currently delivered through iTacit,) (Ontario only) 9. Basic online training on the Quebec Immunization Protocol (PIQ) recommended by the OIIQ and offered by Laval University - Protocole d\'immunisation du Qu\xc3\xa9bec (PIQ) (Qu\xc3\xa9bec Only) 10. Completion of Indigenous Cultural Training. We can provide that. 11. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. 12. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG). Other Licenses: \xc2\xb7 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License (mandatory) COVID-19 considerations: All workers must wear a mask, gloves, and socially distance from clients when possible. We do not service care homes and only service individual clientele in their own homes. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual Pay: From $55.00 per hour Schedule:
