The opportunity:



The University of Manitoba is looking for a Travel and Expense Claims Processor to join Travel Services. Reporting to the University Travel Program Administrator, this role is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and processing travel and business expense claims submitted through the Expense Management Tool, Concur. In this role, you will ensure travel and expense claims are accurate, complete, and compliant with University policies before processing payments. You will also support the Travel Help Desk, assisting faculty and staff with travel-related inquiries and handling paper-based travel and expense claims as needed.

The qualifications and experience we're looking for:



Completion of formal training program in a related discipline form a recognized institute is required. Systems training in computerized financial records environment is an asset. Two years of experience in an office environment where processing large volumes of documents, maintaining files and communicating with staff is required. Experience working in a complex, integrated computer and information system environment and a working knowledge of computer produced data is essential. Experience working in a customer focused environment is required. Previous experience processing travel and business expense claims and familiarity with the University of Manitoba is preferred. Knowledge of the Concur on-line booking tools and expense management tool is an asset. Experience interpreting policy is required. A sound understanding of accounting principles and practices is required. Knowledge of university policy and procedures is an asset. Experience processing expense reports electronically is an asset. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and desktop software Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Excellent interpersonal and telephone manners required. Basic knowledge of general office practices with the ability to organize and prioritize workloads is required. Must have the ability to process large numbers of documents with speed, accuracy and attention to detail in order to meet strict deadlines. Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment is required. The ability to communicate effectively and maintain a good working relationship with other University departments is essential. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service is required. Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

Pay: $39,348.40-$53,872.00 per year
