Expedia Cruises in Kitsilano is looking for a full-time salaried Manager & Travel Consultant to assist in running our retail travel agency and lead insurance sales efforts. Although we specialize in cruises, we are full-service travel agencies offering everything from flights to hotels, all-inclusive resorts to safaris for everyone from budget all the way through to luxury travel all at Expedia prices
Duties & Responsibilities - Day to day operations of Expedia Cruises Kitsilano
Frontline assistance for our Travel Consultants during office hours
Earn commission from sales based on maintaining a personal database of clients to achieve personal sales targets for both travel and insurance products
Work 5 days per week in the office, including Saturdays as needed.
Lead the Manulife Travel Insurance Sales initiatives for the office ensuring all clients have been offered protection, either by their consultant or by direct follow-up.
Demonstrate and lead the core values of Expedia Cruises through leadership, upkeep of industry knowledge, and focus on customer service.
Attending monthly team meetings, customer events, and industry and supplier training.

Job Requirements:
Only candidates with 3+ years as a retail travel agent will be considered
Previous Travel Agency Management experience preferred but not required.
Experience and proven success selling travel insurance policies is required.
Proficiency with and demonstrated ability to train others in travel supplier tools (Expedia TAAP, SIREV, Espresso, POLAR, Norwegian Central, etc)
The candidate must be able to prove a track record of personal success as a travel consultant on sales achievement and customer loyalty.
A growth mindset is essential; the ideal candidate will help grow our business with an emphasis on sales and creativity and be interested in expanding into an agency management role over time.
Compensation, based on candidate experience:

% of Commission from personal travel product and insurance sales
