We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adults. The Therapist will utilize various therapeutic techniques to support clients in their journey toward mental wellness.
Duties
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Trauma informed is crucial. EMDR.
Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in acute distress.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake assessments.
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Engage in clinical research to stay current with best practices in therapy.
Offer specialized counseling services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care.
Facilitate family counseling sessions and provide support for parents and caregivers.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid licensure as a therapist or counselor in the state of practice.
Experience working with children and families is preferred; experience with special education is a plus.
Familiarity with behavioral health concepts, including applied behavior analysis and behavior management techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and clinical documentation standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Telehealth experience is desirable as well as familiarity with outpatient and inpatient settings.
