Position Outline:

The responsibility of a Transporter at PAFNW+ is focused on ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and cultural sensitivity of Indigenous children while being transported to various designations. It's crucial for a Transporter to be empathetic and dedicated to the welfare of the children they serve. Criminal record check and first aid certificate costs will be reimbursed (with original receipts) after 400 hours of continuous employment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience working with children and families is an asset. Ability to always remain impartial, non-judgmental and uphold confidentiality with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong observational and documentation skills and the ability to work independently as well as the part of the team at PAFNW+. Certification in any field related to social services, with skills in conflict resolution, child protection, early childhood development is preferred, but not mandatory. You may be required to conduct repeated lifting of children in and out of vehicles. Indigenous cultural heritage is an asset but not necessary to perform this job. Preference will be given to applicants residing around Vancouver and Richmond.

Copy of Driver's Licence Driving abstract (minimum of four years safe driving) Valid First Aid Certificate Copy of Current vehicle insurance. You must own a reliable four-door vehicle under warranty or have a recent safety inspection by a creditable institution. Must have a car no older than seven years.
Required for On Boarding (hire):

Must have business vehicle insurance with minimum $5 million, 3rd party liability and business class. Vulnerable sector criminal record check. Online privacy course will have to be performed during onboarding.
