Le titulaire peut \xc3\xaatre appel\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 superviser en tout ou en partie les op\xc3\xa9rations de transport. Il/elle est responsable des op\xc3\xa9rations s\xc3\xa9curitaires, efficaces et rentables de son d\xc3\xa9partement. \xc3\x80 titre de membre de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe de gestion, il/elle participe \xc3\xa0 l\'am\xc3\xa9lioration continue dans les domaines de la performance op\xc3\xa9rationnelle, la s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9, la qualit\xc3\xa9, la satisfaction de la client\xc3\xa8le et de l\xe2\x80\x99engagement des employ\xc3\xa9s.

Section A \xe2\x80\x93 Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s sp\xc3\xa9cifiques

  • S\xe2\x80\x99assurer du d\xc3\xa9part de toutes les routes et d\xc3\xa9bordements;
  • S\xe2\x80\x99assurer de rencontrer les objectifs de productivit\xc3\xa9 et de qualit\xc3\xa9;
  • D\xc3\xa9terminer les ressources humaines requises pour l\xe2\x80\x99ex\xc3\xa9cution du travail en fonction du nombre de routes;
  • S\xe2\x80\x99assurer de faire des audits sur la route afin de bien \xc3\xa9valuer le respect des proc\xc3\xa9dures et assurer un service exemplaire aux clients;
  • Travailler en collaboration avec l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe de sant\xc3\xa9 et s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 au travail afin de supporter le programme en sant\xc3\xa9 et s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 li\xc3\xa9 au transport;
  • \xc3\x89valuer les mesures de performance de son d\xc3\xa9partement et prendre les actions n\xc3\xa9cessaires afin d\xe2\x80\x99am\xc3\xa9liorer les r\xc3\xa9sultats en travaillant avec son \xc3\xa9quipe;
  • Communiquer l\xe2\x80\x99information n\xc3\xa9cessaire au service \xc3\xa0 la client\xc3\xa8le sur une base quotidienne en lien avec les retards, les non livr\xc3\xa9s, les retours, ou tout autre information pertinente;
  • Identifier les opportunit\xc3\xa9s d\xe2\x80\x99am\xc3\xa9lioration des op\xc3\xa9rations (revue de routes, service client, type d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipement, optimisation des ressources, etc);
  • Participer aux diff\xc3\xa9rents projets et initiatives du d\xc3\xa9partement;
  • Communiquer avec les transporteurs et fournisseurs de service;
  • Exp\xc3\xa9dier les produits qui requi\xc3\xa8rent un transport externe, incluant les mati\xc3\xa8res dangereuses;
  • S\xe2\x80\x99assurer que tous les chauffeurs respectent les r\xc3\xa8gles de sant\xc3\xa9 et de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 ;
  • Veiller \xc3\xa0 ce que les politiques de la compagnie soient respect\xc3\xa9es et \xc3\xa0 ce que la convention collective soit appliqu\xc3\xa9e;
  • Compl\xc3\xa9ter les rapports de suivi; et
  • Faire le suivi de la facturation et la prise des courus mensuels.
Section B \xe2\x80\x93 Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rales
  • Planifier les activit\xc3\xa9s de ses subordonn\xc3\xa9(e)s, \xc3\xa9valuer les r\xc3\xa9sultats et prendre les mesures n\xc3\xa9cessaires \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99am\xc3\xa9lioration du rendement;
  • Recommander au besoin des changements structurels et organisationnels;
  • Assurer la formation de ses subordonn\xc3\xa9(e)s, \xc3\xa9valuer leurs rendements et leurs progr\xc3\xa8s, les encourager et les aider d\xe2\x80\x99une fa\xc3\xa7on r\xc3\xa9guli\xc3\xa8re dans leur perfectionnement et les pr\xc3\xa9parer \xc3\xa0 assumer de nouvelles responsabilit\xc3\xa9s;
  • R\xc3\xa9pondre aux appels des chauffeurs et fournisseurs durant la journ\xc3\xa9e;
  • Approuver les demandes de fournitures, les d\xc3\xa9penses et autres transactions financi\xc3\xa8res dans les limites de son autorit\xc3\xa9. Prot\xc3\xa9ger les revenus et les \xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9ments d\xe2\x80\x99actif de la compagnie contre la perte et le gaspillage;

Section C \xe2\x80\x93 Exigences du poste
  • Poss\xc3\xa9der 5-7 ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience en gestion, id\xc3\xa9alement dans une entreprise de distribution \xc3\xa0 haut volume;
  • Dipl\xc3\xb4me d\'\xc3\xa9tudes coll\xc3\xa9giales ou dipl\xc3\xb4me universitaire en gestion des op\xc3\xa9rations, en logistique ou de la cha\xc3\xaene d\'approvisionnement est pr\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9rable. Une combinaison de l\'\xc3\xa9ducation et de l\'exp\xc3\xa9rience directement li\xc3\xa9e peut \xc3\xaatre envisag\xc3\xa9e;
  • Certification CITT, un atout;
  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience de gestion d\'\xc3\xa9quipes diverses dans le but d\'atteindre des objectifs \xc3\xa0 travers des pratiques de gestion collaboratives et participatives;
  • Excellente connaissance de la suite MS Office et AS 400 (un atout); et

Summary of the Position

The successful candidate may be required to supervise all or some aspects of transportation operations. They are responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of their department. As a member of the management team, they ensure continuous improvement in the areas of operational performance, safety, quality, customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

Section A \xe2\x80\x93 Specific Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the departure of all routes and overflows;
  • Ensuring that productivity and quality objectives are met;
  • Determining the human resources required to perform the work based on the number of routes;
  • Ensuring that audits are conducted on the road to assess compliance with procedures and provide exemplary service to customers;
  • Working in collaboration with the occupational health and safety team to support the transportation-related health and safety program;
  • Evaluating departmental performance metrics and taking action to improve results by working with their team;
  • Communicating information to customer service daily regarding delays, non-deliveries, returns and other relevant information;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operations (route review, customer service, equipment type, resource optimization, etc.);
  • Participating in various department projects and initiatives;
  • Communicating with carriers and service providers;
  • Shipping products that require external transportation, including hazardous materials;
  • Ensuring that all drivers comply with health and safety rules;
  • Ensuring that the company\xe2\x80\x99s policies are respected and that the collective bargaining agreement is applied;
  • Completing follow-up reports; and
  • Follow-up on invoicing and monthly accruals.
Section B \xe2\x80\x93 General Responsibilities
  • Planning staff activity, evaluating results and taking action to improve performance;
  • Recommending structural and organizational changes as needed;
  • Training employees, evaluating their performance and progress, regularly encouraging and assisting them in their development and preparing them to assume new responsibilities;
  • Answering calls from drivers and vendors during the day;
  • Approving supply requisitions, expenditures and other financial transactions within their authority. Protecting the company\xe2\x80\x99s revenues and assets from loss and waste;
  • Promoting a positive and safe work environment for McKesson Canada employees;
  • Embodying the company\xe2\x80\x99s leadership values and behaviours;
  • Acting as a change agent for their teams; and
  • Maintaining effective communications with all sectors of the business.
Section C \xe2\x80\x93 Position Requirements
  • 5-7 years of management experience, ideally in a high-volume distribution company;
  • College degree or university degree in operations management, logistics or supply chain preferred. A combination of education and directly-related experience may be considered;
  • CITT certification is an asset;
  • Proven experience leading diverse teams to achieve goals through collaborative and participatory management practices;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and AS 400 (an asset); and
  • Experience working with a TMS.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$56,300 - $93,800
