This national team has earned an exceptional reputation through its successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Canada.**Your Key Responsibilities**+ Act as lead designer for small and medium-sized engineering assignments, with the intent to develop skills towards a future project manager/technical lead role for larger projects+ Attend site visits related to pre-design information gathering, construction and postconstruction review+ Coordinate work with other disciplines including highway/road, electrical, drainage and environmental planning+ Analysis and evaluation of appropriate design solutions and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundation+ Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables before submission to the client+ Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents and cost estimate+ Provide tender evaluations and/or construction engineering services+ Work within assigned project budgets and schedules+ Mentor junior staff with regard to project work**Qualifications****Your Capabilities and Credentials**+ Interest in working both in the office and the field environment+ Ability to perform outdoor physical duties while doing bridge inspection work+ Valid Ontario driver\'s license and access to a vehicle+ Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD and SAP2000, CSiBridge, SFRAME+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Strong, interpersonal and presentation skills+ Able to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projects+ Organized and detail-oriented+ Ability to mentor the technical development of others+ Works well with minimal direct supervision+ Exercises independent judgment**Education and Experience**B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering, with strong interest and experience in structures, particularly bridgesP.Eng. status and minimum 4 years of proven experience in design using Canadian codes and design standardsTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
