Transportation Planning Lead, BC!
Due to company growth and recent high-profile project wins the EXP transportation team in Western Canada is expanding and is currently seeking an experienced transportation planning professional who has the interest and ambition to join its Western Canada Transportation Planning Group as our Transportation Planning Lead, B.C. in Burnaby, BC.
The successful candidates will be based in our Burnaby office, where our multi-disciplinary planning team works providing clients with transportation planning services.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Manage and executing transportation planning projects
Prepare proposals and expressions of interest
Provide leadership for the successful delivery of transportation planning projects of varying size and complexity
Work with transportation planning team members from other offices to build diverse project teams
Recruit, train, develop and retain local transportation planning staff to successfully deliver projects
Negotiate and manage budgets and help ensure financial performance objectives are achieved for each project
Build and maintain client relationships, develop new clients and win work for the Transportation Practice
Supervise and direct engineers, planners, and technicians to meet project deadlines as well as scope and budget requirements
Work with leadership teams within Western Canada, as well as across EXP's Sectors, to develop and carry out our mission
What your experience looks like
Bachelor's degree or greater in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or similar field with a strong emphasis on transportation planning or engineering
15+ years of experience in transportation planning or engineering with some experience in transit, active transportation, and/or multimodal projects
Possesses an engineering license (P.Eng.) or registered professional planner designation (RPP, MCIP) or in progress to obtaining one of these
Contribution to supporting business development activities, including inputs to and/or leading proposals
