Your Opportunity Our Southwestern Ontario Transportation Group has an opportunity for a Planning or Civil Engineering Co-op Student within our Transportation Planning and Smart(ER) Mobility practice. The position is located out of our Waterloo office with the opportunity to support work across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. The interconnection between technology, infrastructure, and transportation\xe2\x80\x94has the potential to enhance communities by supporting economically viable, resilient, and socially equitable transportation networks that prioritize people, goods and partnerships, as we transition to the next generation of mobility. Our Southwestern Ontario based Smart(ER) Mobility Transportation team is diverse and works on a wide variety of private and public sector transportation planning projects. Our multi- disciplinary approach requires working with architects, civil engineers, landscape architects, environmental scientist and transportation engineers. You can expect opportunities to work on projects that include: + Transportation master planning, + complete streets design, + urban design, + transit service, + public sector policy development, + public consultation, + active transportation design + Parking studies + Traffic impact analysis This posting is for one (1) Planning Co-op Student position for a duration of four (4) of eight (8) months depending on study term, that will commence in May 2022 Qualifications Your Capabilities & Credentials + This opportunity is specifically for post-secondary students enrolled in the Undergraduate or Graduate Planning or Engineering programs (Co-op) + The candidates will be highly motivated, willing to work in both an individual and team-oriented environment. + Previous transportation planning experience is an asset, but not necessarily a requirement. + Strong organizational skills and understanding how to prioritize + Strong written and oral communication skills + Knowledge and experience of transportation planning theory with a demonstrated interest in at least one of the following:
