Job Description
The Transport Operations Manager will oversee ground transportation activities across the Maritime Provinces(NB, NS, PEI). Leading a team of dispatchers and drivers, the manager ensures compliance with safety laws, transportation regulations, and industry standards. They will also implement best practices within the transport sector.Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of drivers and dispatchers.
- Ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
- Optimize routes and driver efficiency.
- Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain service quality.
- Maintain and ensure proper use of transport equipment.
- Conduct periodic safety meetings.
- Implement special projects as needed.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
- 10 years of management experience in the transport sector.
- Knowledge of transport methods and regulations.
- Ability to develop and implement improvement plans.
- Strong leadership and communication.
- Customer service-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Organized and analytical.
- Effective negotiation and conflict management.
- Professional interpersonal skills.
