The Coquitlam Express Hockey Club is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and professional

Transportation Manager / Bus Driver

to oversee and operate our transportation program. This role involves safely transporting players to and from school, practices, games, and events during the day, with occasional evening and weekend trips for local games and team activities. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a youth sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate the team van/bus for daily school and training transportation routes. Coordinate and manage transportation schedules, ensuring punctual pick-ups and drop-offs. Drive players to local games, tournaments, and events during evenings and weekends as required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the bus is in safe operating condition. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times. Monitor and enforce all safety regulations, including seatbelt use and proper conduct on the bus. Keep accurate mileage, maintenance, and incident reports. Coordinate with team staff on route planning, pick-up/drop-off locations, and event logistics. Oversee vehicle maintenance schedule and liaise with service providers for repairs and upkeep.

Qualifications

Valid

Class 1 or Class 4

BC driver's license.

Clean Driver's Abstract

(to be provided prior to hiring).

Clear Criminal Record Check

with Vulnerable Sector Search. Proven experience driving buses or similar large vehicles. 15 and 30 passenger vehicles Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws. Excellent time management and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Friendly, professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with youth and team staff.

Schedule & Compensation

Hours:

Primarily weekdays for school and training transportation, with additional evening/weekend trips for games and events. Compensation to be determined based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
