Negotiate and execute time and voyage charter contracts for dry bulk and tanker vessels.
Liaise with shipowners, charterers, and brokers to secure optimal freight terms and vessel availability.
Manage post-fixture operations, including laytime calculations, demurrage/dispatch settlements, and voyage performance.
Sales & Purchase (S&P) of Maritime Assets
Oversee vessel acquisition and disposal processes, including market analysis, technical due diligence, and financing arrangements.
Coordinate with legal, insurance, and classification societies to ensure compliance and smooth transaction execution.
Operational Oversight & Compliance
Monitor vessel operations to ensure adherence to international regulations and company standards.
Collaborate with P&I clubs, H&M insurers, and maritime law firms to manage claims and mitigate risks.
Team Leadership & Knowledge Transfer
Mentor junior staff in chartering strategy, market analysis, and operational coordination.
Develop internal processes and training programs to build local expertise in maritime transportation.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations within the maritime field is required, including at least 3 years in the role of Chartering Manager.
- A bachelor's degree or its equivalent in the maritime transportation is required.
- A certificate of competency (class-1 Master Mariner) is required.
- Must speak English.
