We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Transportation Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our supply chain and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will manage freight, coordinate shipping and receiving, and utilize advanced logistics systems to ensure efficient delivery processes. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution, procurement, and supply chain management, with a focus on process improvement and data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Coordinate transportation planning and dispatching to ensure timely delivery of goods across multiple channels, including freight, NVOCC, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers
Manage warehouse distribution, inventory control, and materials handling to optimize stock levels and reduce costs
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and warehouse management systems (WMS) for data collection, analysis, and reporting
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in supply chain processes and implement effective solutions for continuous improvement
Negotiate contracts with vendors, carriers, and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service levels
Oversee procurement activities related to sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships
Analyze supply chain data using SQL, Tableau, and other data analysis tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and improve overall efficiency
Collaborate with production planning, demand planning, and inventory management teams to align logistics with operational goals
Ensure compliance with safety standards related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts and mechanical tools
Develop strategies for process improvement in shipping & receiving, inventory management, and category management

Experience

Qualifications
Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics coordination, or warehouse distribution roles
Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (SAP, AS400), WMS software, and supply chain analytics tools like Tableau or SQL
Familiarity with freight forwarding, 3PL operations, NVOCC procedures, procurement processes, and vendor management
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making purposes
Experience with demand planning, inventory control, production planning, and category management
Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus
Strong negotiation skills with vendors and carriers to optimize costs and service levels
Ability to work collaboratively across departments including procurement, warehouse operations, and transportation planning
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
