Job Summary:As the F&B Transportation Lead, you are accountable for the daily operations of the F&B Operations Warehouse (Base II) and Whistler Gondola Base Building (G1) facilities and provide day-to-day direction for our Base II and G1 warehouse & transportation teams. While complying with all safety and company standard operating procedures, you will exceed the expectations of our (internal) customers and maintain quality relationships with our supplier-partners.Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish weekly work schedules; assign timelines for routine and special warehouse activities and provide hands-on day-to-day direction and leadership for a 4-15-person Warehouse and Transportation team.
  • Ensure that physical receiving, storage, and transport activities proceed according to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and documented.
  • Responsible for security of Base II and G1 receiving areas and their assets.
  • Complete regular inventory counts and orders to maintain par levels of Warehouse products.
  • Ensure that the Base II and G1 facilities present a professional \xe2\x80\x9clook\xe2\x80\x9d, offer an environment that is conducive to safe and efficient work habits, and are viewed by the team as a pleasant place to be.
  • Organize daily, weekly and special cleaning schedules, and ensure timely completion of these activities.
  • Update vehicle use and maintenance logs and liaise with the Fleet Maintenance department regarding the maintenance of both Snow Cats and Trucks.
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of seasonal delivery schedules for F&B outlets.
  • Liaise with the F&B Purchasing Office and our (internal) customers for issues related to receiving, storage and rotation, inventory management, distribution, transportation, inter-unit transactions, recycling and waste management.
  • Assist to supervise, co-ordinate and document training and coaching of all F&B Shipper/Receivers, Warehouse Workers, Cat Drivers & Truck Drivers.
  • Conduct receiving area and log book audits as directed by Assistant Manager.
  • Assist with hiring qualified seasonal staff.

Job Requirments:

  • Valid British Columbia Driving License and able to provide clear abstract.
  • An above-average familiarity with foodservice terms, product identification/usage and restaurant operations.
  • Capable team leader and supportive team player.
  • Excels at prioritizing, delegating and keeping team motivated and on target.
  • Works well under the pressure of time constraints and (internal) customer demands.
  • Shows highly developed organizational skills with a focus on safety and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • 2 years experience in a high-volume warehouse and distribution center; Supervisory experience will be an asset.
  • Experience in the operation and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles and equipment to include four-wheel drive trucks with capacities of one-to-three tons, snow-cats, forklifts, pallet jacks and hand-trucks.
  • Food Safe Level I, Basic First Aid/CPR, an asset.
  • A level of competency, in snow skiing or boarding, that will allow safe access to all on-mountain foodservice facilities as required.
  • Knowledge of Whistler/Blackcomb Mountain operations and policies will be an asset.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office/Excel and computer systems.
  • Knowledge of COUPA procurement system is an asset but not required.
