Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and management of our company's vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and safe use of vehicles, coordinate scheduling, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is vital in supporting our logistics and transportation needs, contributing to overall operational success.

Duties

Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring all vehicles are serviced regularly and repairs are addressed promptly. Monitor fuel consumption and implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety or service quality. Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, inspections, repairs, and licensing requirements. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards. Coordinate with drivers and other staff to address operational issues and improve fleet performance. Implement policies for vehicle safety, driver conduct, and accident reporting procedures. Manage procurement of new vehicles and disposal of outdated or damaged assets.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fleet management or transportation operations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, vendors, and management teams. Ability to analyze data related to fleet performance and implement improvements. Valid AZ driver's license; relevant certifications in fleet or logistics management are a plus. Proficiency in fleet management software or related technology tools is preferred.
