Transportation Engineer (intermediate)

Job Description


We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Transportation Engineer to join our team in Saskatoon. You will work closely with our skilled team of engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide transportation engineering services to a variety of municipal and provincial clients throughout Western Canada. You will oversee a diverse range of projects and duties, including but not limited to: project management and highway/roadway construction support/supervision. You may provide support to other members of our team and complete other duties as assigned such as highway/roadway design, transportation planning, environmental assessments, transportation engineering, traffic safety design, intersection operational analysis, signage and pavement marking analysis, and truck route assessments.

Reporting to the Division Manager of Transportation in Saskatoon, you have the ability to work independently and lead others in your office. Saskatoon, SK location preferred but will consider other office locations in SK as your home base.

Job Requirements

What you will bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering.
  • Registered as a P.Eng. with APEGS.
  • Experience with Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways construction projects.
  • Experience using drafting and design software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D is an asset.
  • Experience in cost estimating, contract document preparation, contract administration, and construction inspection.
  • Proven experience leading and managing the work of others.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Committed team player.
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver\'s license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Western Canada as required.
