Barrhead & Community Transportation Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly individual to join our team as a Barrhead & Community Transportation Driver. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide safe and efficient transportation services to residents of Barrhead and surrounding communities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a clean driving record, and a passion for serving the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to and from designated locations. Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations while driving. Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding and disembarking. Maintain cleanliness and regular maintenance of vehicles, including conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and respond to service requests. Assist passengers with mobility aids and other special needs as required. Follow company policies and procedures at all times. Represent the company in a professional manner while interacting with passengers and the public.

Qualifications:

Must be 25 years or older pursuant to insurance requirements Must have a valid class 4- and 5-year drivers abstract Must have a valid First Aid Certificate with CPR Must submit a current Criminal Record Check and Youth Intervention Check Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the Barrhead area and surrounding communities is an asset. Knowledge of, and empathy with, the transportation needs of seniors and persons with disabilities. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle for long durations. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach when assisting passengers.
