We have a full-time, permanent opportunity available for a Transportation Data Entry Clerk

A Day in the Life

As a Transportation Data Entry Clerk, you will provide support for a 3PL provider specializing in action sports/outdoor. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be working with products from awesome clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle. This individual should be motivated, proactive and a master of details who can also understand the bigger picture. The candidate should have a strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. The Transportation Data Entry Clerk performs any functions related to Freight Reconciliation, Credit filing and entry, Invoice report generation, claims, and provides support to the Transportation Supervisor

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring to the Role:

  • Excellent MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication required and inter-personal skills a must
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of WMS system is preferable or other type of Warehouse Management system.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet company deadlines.
  • Require strong time management and organization skills.
The Must Haves:
  • 6+ months experience in an office environment entering data
Things You Will be Doing:
  • Performs Invoice Reconciliation
  • Receives invoices for all carriers/couriers.
  • Audits invoices and approves for payment.
  • Ensures proper client billing.
  • Reviews discrepancies and files disputed charges with carriers/couriers.
  • Assists with data entry
  • Sorts and prepares all documents for data entry.
  • Maintains records relating to the movement of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Accurately enters all documents, ensuring they are complete and ready for processing in Aspire.
  • Locates and corrects any data entry errors.
  • Assists and provides coverage for COD processes.
  • Logs express envelopes to spreadsheets daily.
  • Sorts and scans checks to appropriate Client folder.
  • Posts check information to the WMS.
  • Attaches scanned checks to payment detail in WMS.
  • Sorts actual checks alphabetically for each Client and places in the Client envelope.
  • Forwards checks once a week (or as needed) to the Client(s).
  • Assists and provides coverage for the cheque tracking function.
  • This position is required to exchange information with other employees of the organization and possibly external contacts.
  • Assists with administrative duties.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.
