So what's this role all about?





As a Transport Analyst, you work to support the fluid movement of goods throughout the Supply Chain. Reporting to the Senior Leader, Transportation, you will monitor various transportation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and take action in response to exceptions where required.


Key Accountabilities:




Acts as point of contact for internal and external parties for transportation and freight payment activities Works with vendors and internal stakeholders to validate, approve and reconcile department invoicing Sets criteria, monitors progress and reports on transport service providers Analyzes transportation effectiveness, identifies cost reduction opportunities and offers recommendations for improved efficiencies Maintains daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly departmental reports Prepares and communicates Transportation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Investigates and reports on operational variances Inputs and maintains data sets as required Values Teamwork, ownership, people, integrity and community.

A few other things we're looking for:




3 - 5 years' related experience, preferably in Transportation logistics or Supply Chain. Related Post-secondary education would be an asset Familiarity with several transportation modes, including rail, road and ocean logistic processes Experience in Domestic and International freight movement and related documentation procedures an asset Strong communication skills, with the ability to present at all levels of the organization and with outside service providers Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel Working knowledge of Incoterms and other related transportation terminology, concepts and service standards Ability to stay focused and organized, and to regulate own work and responsibilities Self-directed to meet planned objectives Highly analytical, with the ability to present solutions and assist in implementation when required
