Your Impact:

The energy industry is undergoing rapid and dramatic changes, transforming the utility landscape to enhance safety, reliability and sustainability. In response, Jacobs is expanding its Energy & Power Solutions team to tackle the complexities of decarbonization and utility modernization to deliver a cleaner and more secure energy future. We have multiple positions available for transmission engineers seeking to apply and develop their skills working closely with our utility clients and operations teams as we expand our energy transition portfolio.

These openings provide the opportunity to engage with our clients to modernize, expand or harden their utility transmission systems in North America. Demonstrated abilities include a basic understanding of the utility industry as well as materials and construction practices. Prior experience in the design of utility overhead and underground transmission systems (>69 kV) will be highly regarded. Your primary responsibilities will focus upon providing planning, engineering design and construction oversight for power transmission projects.

#naepjobs Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

\xc2\xb7 At least 4 years of experience in design or consulting for the utility industry

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.

Other highly regarded qualifications include Professional Registration as well as experience with:

\xc2\xb7 Overhead and/or underground transmission line experience

\xc2\xb7 Pole design (wood, concrete, FRP, Steel) or lattice tower design experience

\xc2\xb7 PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower experience

\xc2\xb7 Experience with design of various types of foundation systems (e.g., direct embed, caisson, micro-pile, grillage, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Experience with overhead and/or underground Distribution Design (<69 kV)

\xc2\xb7 Engineering license (PE)
