Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Transmission Engineer to contribute to the successful execution of projects across Newfoundland and Labrador.Located in St. John's, NL, Maderra Engineering Inc. provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors. • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural);
• Minimum of 8 Years Experience in Utility Industry - Transmission Design (An

equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered); * Membership in Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador as a Professional Engineer;

• Experience with Transmission Line Design software (PLS Cadd, PLS Pole, etc.);
• Experience with Canadian Transmission Line Design Codes and Standards (CSA, ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, etc.);
• Experience with Lidar Data would be an asset;
• Experience with PLS Tower would be an asset;
• Proven and demonstrated communication skills;
• Experience managing and working with external engineering consultants;
• Experience managing construction contracts and working with Contractors;
• Participant and/or leader within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external

resources; * Experience in engineering projects development and techniques;

• Experience with design of Transmission Line Structure Types;
• Ability to read and interpret, civil, structural, concrete and structural steel drawings;
• Experience with reviews of structural drawings identifying problems and resolutions;
• Project management experience would be an asset;
• Experience working with MS Office and MS Excel;
