Transitional Support Professional Full Time Permanent





Transitional Support Professional (TSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Transitional Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.



As part of the clinical duties, the Transitional Support Professional may be required to provide reports on clinical interventions. They liaise with clinical professionals, collect appropriate data, and actively carry out appropriately prescribed programs & treatments to address the clinical, behavioral and/or mental health needs of people supported by Karis Disability Services.

Requirements:




Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check Access to reliable transportation Minimum 1 year working in Developmental Services Experience A. Education: Developmental Services Worker Diploma (DSW) or Apprenticeship, or DSW Apprenticeship actively in progress
+ Child and Youth Care Diploma (CYC) or Apprenticeship or
+ Diploma or Degree in a Related Human Services field such as: Community Mental Health, Behavioral Sciences, Behavioral Science Technology, Behavior
Analysis/technologist, Police Foundations Diploma, Social Service Worker, Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, Autism and Behavioral Science, Educational Support, Social Work, Psychology, or Honors Applied Science in Family and Community Social Services

OR

B. Experience: Minimum 5 years experience supporting people with behavior support plans
