The purpose of a Transformation and Project Change Management Specialist is to lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation of projects and transformations. This role focuses on managing the human side of change by developing and executing strategies to engage stakeholders, minimize resistance, and facilitate smooth transitions. The specialist works closely with project teams to ensure that changes are effectively communicated, adopted, and sustained, driving both operational improvements and long-term organizational success.
A key responsibility includes supporting the organization's transition from the current Meditech electronic health record system to
Epic
, a major component of our digital transformation strategy. This change represents a significant shift in clinical workflows, operational processes, and user experience. The specialist plays a critical role in preparing staff for this change, ensuring engagement, readiness, and long-term adoption of the new system.
In addition, with Royal joining the
Atlas Alliance
, this role supports the broader transformation and integration efforts across the system--driving alignment, standardization, and collaboration. The specialist works closely with cross-functional project teams to ensure that strategic objectives are met, changes are effectively communicated, and transformation outcomes are realized--leading to both immediate operational improvements and sustainable organizational success
Duties:
Change Management:
Adapt and develop change management strategies as part of the organization project planning phase.
Develop and implement change management initiative plans including but not limited to impact assessment, gap analysis, stakeholder analysis, project assessment, communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, resistant project management plan, and training plan with key stakeholders.
Work closely with respective leadership to integrate change management activities and deliverables in the project plan and project timelines.
Work closely with Project Sponsor(s) and Project Lead(s) to identify and form their coalition of sponsors and prepare and coach them for their role in the project.
Coach/mentor managers and identifies change champions in change activities supporting project implementation. Lead change management workshops for management and change champions to prepare for change.
Lead change management activities within a project but successfully transitioning ownership of the change to respective business/support teams involved.
Provide change management status reports throughout a project.
Monitor change evolution and stakeholder engagement levels via pulse surveys, and preliminary, mid and end of project assessments.
Assist deployment activities such as producing documentation, training materials, and conducting train-the-trainer sessions.
Proactively collects feedback, listening to employees/volunteers to anticipate resistance and understand pain points.
Audit compliance with the new way of doing things, identifying gaps and proposing corrective measures to reinforce the change.
Based on project lessons learned, evaluate and continuously improve change management support tools, templates and guidelines.
Organization Design:
Conduct needs assessments, segmenting the targeted audience, selecting, and/or designing assessment methods, instruments and data collection and develops the organization's training programs or change interventions consistent with the assessment and the organization's goals and strategies.
Consult with Senior Management Project Lead to identify, diagnose and problem solve organizational effectiveness problems and solutions while building positive, value-added relationships with clients. Designs instructional or performance based interventions to build individual and organizational capacity and improve employee climate and operational and financial performance.
Work with key stakeholders like HR, and other organizational leaders to develop, implement and measure workforce strategies enhancing the overall culture and work environment with a focus on management and leadership development and performance improvement.
May lead or act as an internal consultant on organizational-wide programs such as employee engagement, learning pathways, coaching, manager and employee onboarding, competency implementation and/or the redesign of HR communication and intranet tools.
Participate in the evaluation of learning technology and training solutions for both employee and leadership education efforts.
Design and implement appropriate methods of evaluating courses and organizational development interventions.
Stay current on trends in the Organizational Development and Human Resource fields to ensure solutions are state-of-the-art and meet regulatory and legal needs.

Qualifications:
3 Year Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Change Management, Education or related field.
Minimum of 5 years direct professional business experience in organizational change management; OD/Change Management certification
Demonstrated experience leading senior Subject Matter Experts and front-line staff through the deployment phase of an implementation project from a Change Management perspective.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing CM & OD plans throughout the project life cycle.
Demonstrated experience coaching project sponsors and executives to perform their role in implementing changes.
Demonstrated experience leading senior Subject Matter Experts and front-line staff through the deployment phase of an implementation project from a Change Management perspective.
Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
Must possess a thorough understanding of the principles, theory and practice of large scale change, organizational development, training, and adult learning.
Good business understanding of organizational issues and challenges

English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, comprehension, reading & writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
Salary Range:
$47.03 to $56.17 per hour
