Roland Berger is looking for a Project Manager to join our Transactions and Investor Support team based in either our Toronto or Montreal office. You will work closely with private equity and strategic investors in all stages of the investment process, from target search and due diligence to post-acquisition value creation, synergy capture, and exit.
As a Project Manager you will directly interact with clients at leadership level and guide module teams. From the start, you are considered an entrepreneur in our company. We encourage you to show initiative, think creatively and take responsibility.
Our Investor Support practice is the ideal place for mergers and acquisitions professionals with a passion to make an impact on the businesses we work with and create value for investors.
Key Responsibilities
Manages client projects with primary responsibility for client satisfaction, team excellence, and delivery on time and to budget
Manages day to day client relations and builds long-term relationships with client
Structures the problem-solving process and develops project schedules, assigns work to team members
Leads team members and provides on the job training and coaching
Controls project budget. Supports lead generation and project acquisition with proposal preparation and presentation
Prepares and participates in plant tours and management presentations
Provides topical expertise and intellectual leadership to project teams
Develops intellectual capital in targeted areas as part of our thought leadership initiatives
Contributes to the development and management of the practice through involvement in, for example, recruitment, training, and marketing
Travels to client locations
Keys To Success:
Ability to manage complex projects
In-depth understanding of investor objectives
Strong understanding of finance, accounting, and business operations
Experience interacting with senior management (written and oral)
Refined presentation skills (written and oral)
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to see the big picture and combine it with attention to detail
Ambition and drive
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
MBA or master's degree in a related field preferred
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in the investment industry and / or management consulting industry focused on serving investors
Fluency in French considered an asset to work in our Montreal office
