Position Summary





The Traditional Program Facilitator provides outreach and case management support to people who are challenging to serve due to complex needs. In collaboration with participants, the facilitator completes a risk and skills assessment to develop a personalized program plan. The hours of work will be flexible to ensure people have access to support regardless of the time of day.



The Transitional Program Facilitator will serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary clinical team for all the Recovery & Addiction Program teams. He, she, or they will play a leadership role in developing and facilitating the delivery of psycho-educational workshops and life skills training and will create the conditions to allow people to access community-based recovery services as well as safe and stable housing. The incumbent will serve as case manager/ key worker for the assigned participants and will provide a (physically and culturally) safe environment for individuals to gain insight and understanding of their substance use, and to learn and practice skills instrumental to their recovery and their ability to cope and thrive in the world.



This position will be connected to every Bridge Recovery & Addiction program and will routinely attend each site to support assigned participants and promote connection between programs and transitions for participants.


Position:

24-32 hours per week for a 1-year fixed term- Shifts include weekdays and weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.


Compensation:

$33.12-$38.62 per hour plus applicable shift premiums


Evening shift premium - additional $3.50 per hour between 1900hr-0700hr Weekend shift premium - additional $2.50 per hour between 2400hr (midnight) Friday - 2400hr (midnight) Sunday Shift premiums compound- additional $6.00 per hour between 1900hr-0700hr on 2400hr (midnight) Friday - 2400hr (midnight) Sunday Facility-Based Hours Premium - additional $1.00 per hour for facility-based roles.

Indirect Compensation




Extended Health and Dental benefits after the 3 month probationary period 3 weeks vacation pay which increases with length of service 1 paid wellness day per year Paid Birthday Off Paid sick time which increases with length of service. Qualifications





Education and experience


Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Related Field. 3-5 years' experience working with addictions and mental health Training and experience providing evidence-based responses/therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder or concurrent disorder. Demonstrated group facilitation and counselling skills. Experience creating and working within a culturally inclusive environment.

Job skills and abilities


Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated crisis management, decision-making, conflict resolution, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Experience working in an outreach capacity. Demonstrated ability to work comfortably with unhoused or street entrenched populations. Knowledge of local resources
