TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH - Resource Administrator (Term)
New Directions is a social service agency offering a wide range of resources and services that foster people's hopes and dreams in their communities.
Training Opportunities for Youth is one of the many programs offered by New Directions. Training Opportunities for Youth serves 16 - 29-year-old individuals who have experienced a variety of barriers to school and employment success.
Primary areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing administrative support to the TOFY team
Developing/maintaining spread sheets & word documents
Scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
Creating file folders, printing and filing documents
Entering intakes and discharging files
Taking and transcribing meeting minutes
Answer and transfer telephone calls
Credit card, bank card, and petty cash reconciliation
Recording attendance renumeration, creating cash parcels
Typing correspondence
Applicants must have:
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Sharepoint, Dynamic365 and Onedrive.
A typing speed of 40 wpm are required.
Applicants must be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
The candidate must also have 1 year of experience in providing general office administrative support and have exceptional organizational skills.
Knowledge, awareness and sensitivity to Indigenous Cultures and Traditions and be inclusive of multi-cultural beliefs and lifestyles,
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
The salary range for this
1-Year Term
70-hour bi-weekly position is $18.31 to $24.72 per hour, dependent upon education and/or experience. This position is eligible to receive a full benefits package (which includes Health, Dental, and Long-Term Disability Benefits)
.
The successful candidate will be subject to Criminal Record, Child/Adult Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact checks.
