As a Training Manager, you will lead and shape the strategic direction of training initiatives that impact operations and employee safety. Your goal will be overseeing a team of trainers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality training content. Your success will foster a culture of continuous learning and safety awareness.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of trainers responsible for delivering technical training programs, encompassing classroom and computer-based formats. Delegate projects and set short- and long-term priorities that optimize team resources.
  • Direct team to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to identify training needs, performance gaps, and safety concerns.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing safety protocols and compliance. Understand mid- and long-term risk factors and ensure strategies are aligned to address those factors. Understand complex safety and regulatory training needs and make recommendations to the business that address those factors. Make recommendations for training content to business areas and stakeholders that align with business needs.
  • Oversee the design and development of engaging training materials, leveraging a variety of instructional methods and technologies and provide guidance to trainers in creating effective training content, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and participant needs.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness by integrating safety principles and procedures into training content and promoting safe practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, analyzing data and metrics to make data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to ensure training programs address the evolving needs of the organization and industry. Understand business needs and translate those needs to business objectives for the team.
  • Develop and manage training budgets, allocating resources effectively to achieve training goals.
  • There will some travel required.
Your Skills:
  • Strong background in safety training and awareness, with a focus on integrating safety principles into training content.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a commitment to developing and empowering the training team.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, capable of engaging and inspiring learners of all levels.
Your Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of related experience, with at least three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
