Job Description

Reliable Equipment Rentals Ltd. provides aerial equipment rentals and services to valued customers throughout southwestern British Columbia.

We are looking for an experienced Training Manager to design and deliver effective training programs. The Training Manager leads and develops the Safety Trainer team to deliver a high-quality training to customers. The role also contributes to building and growing operations via marketing and business development.

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM + occasional weekend availability required



$100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year depending on experience, skills, and qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties:



Develops training programs and materials based on identified needs and selects appropriate training methods, such as workshops, e-learning, or on-the-job training. Identifies and assesses the training needs of employees and the organization as a whole. Ensures that training is engaging, effective, and aligns with organizational goals. Gathers feedback from participants to continuously improve training initiatives. Continuously assesses and improves the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs. Manages the performance of the staff by leading, training, providing feedback, coaching and administering discipline as appropriate. Addresses employee conflicts or disputes in a timely manner. Develops marketing strategies to promote training programs and expand customer base. Maintains accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes. Ensures compliance with record-keeping requirements. Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content. Sources cost-effective training solutions without compromising quality. Monitors training records and tracks employee progress. Works with employees to create individual development plans. Stays up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in training and development. Ensures that training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Contributes to the organization's succession planning by identifying and developing potential leaders. Contributes to strategic expansion and greenfield project development by leveraging exists tools such as website, database, sales and marketing tools, business partners and greenfield initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:



Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles, training methods, techniques, and formats Must be able to adapt teaching style relative to our training models and the learning outcomes of each course and utilize our proprietary safety training curriculums Strong knowledge of applicable standards and regulations in aerial lift equipment Excellent customer service skills and able to deal with a diverse group of customers Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing Demonstrated success in facilitation and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong planning, organization skills and detail oriented Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety

Experience, Training, Certification and Education:



Minimum 2 years of safety training experience in a manufacturing or construction environment Direct experience with Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Forklifts, and Fall Protection Equipment Experience with driving business growth and leading greenfield initiatives A safety designation such as CSO and NCSO would be an advantage Certification from an accredited high-reach safety training program an asset Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions:



Ability to lift up to 50lbs PPE required at all times Work both indoors and outdoors Availability to work Saturdays as needed
