Position Summary:

Trillium Health Partners is undertaking the modernization of its business systems, specifically its human resources, payroll and staff scheduling systems. A project team has been established to oversee the planning and implementation of this project and it will be working with external partners and vendors throughout this process.

The OneTHP - One People Experience is seeking two (2) Training Coordinators. Reporting to the Manager, Workflow, Readiness, Training + Integration, the Training Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of training activities and trainers as well as supporting the training team, maintaining the training schedule, and managing logistics to ensure all users are trained. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for ongoing oversight of staff and trainer training schedules, adjustments, and issues resolution.

Responsibilities:

In consultation with the Manager, Workflow, Readiness, Training + Integration and in collaboration with the OneTHP \xe2\x80\x93 One People Experience project team, lead the coordination and maintenance of all logistics/activities related to the OneTHP \xe2\x80\x93 One People Experience training content, training schedules, communication with end users, and logistics oversight. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaboration with a dynamic team to understand training needs and configure the learning management system.
  • Working with Manager, Workflow, Readiness, Training + Integration in development of training schedule (class and trainer scheduling) including scheduling development, logistics, review, and revisions.
  • Oversight of Learning Management System utilization and maintenance (i.e. training offerings + modules).
  • Leading training enrollment process for all end users, including working with leaders across the organization to ensure their staff are successfully enrolled for training and any ongoing problem-solving related to training schedules.
  • Ensuring training materials, technology, and set up are prepared for training sessions.
  • Validation of training attendance and successful completion.
  • Oversight of training evaluations and participant surveys.
  • Providing onsite support for training set up, attendance, IS issues.
  • Supporting the training team and responding to questions and concerns from end users.
  • Creating an optimal learning environment, effectively communicate with learners and training team, and resolve issues.
  • Supporting the Training Manager in securing external space for training and support for training logistics and issues mitigation.
Competencies:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or College Diploma and/or, or equivalent program, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Advanced communication, presentation, and facilitation skills \xe2\x80\x93 both written and verbal.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver training content and design course schedules is considered an asset.
  • Experience leading the planning, creation, and management of training schedules for a large number of end users an asset.
  • Basic understanding of workflows related to HR, payroll, or scheduling systems is an asset.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required, experience with Visio an asset.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of staff, leaders, and other end users in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.
  • Proven track record of working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and be results-oriented.
  • Must be available to work all shifts as required.
Location:

We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary work space will be remote work from home, there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.

The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee\xe2\x80\x99s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace with 24 hours\xe2\x80\x99 notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not acceptable.
  • This role will be a combination of remote and on-site work.
  • You must be able to attend work at any THP hospital sites (i.e. Mississauga Hospital, Credit Valley Hospital, Watline, RCC, Queensway Health Centre, 2085 Hurontario, 89 Queensway, etc.) as well and any off-site training facility.
Hours of Work:
  • Scheduled remote and onsite work hours will be determined by the training schedule.
  • Within a scheduled 37.5 hour work week, candidates must be available to work any/all shifts for the length of the employment contract.
  • During the formal training period from mid-July to end of October, training hours may mean varied hours of work each day between 6am and 11pm, Sunday to Saturday.
