Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Coordinator will coordinate the design, delivery, and measurement of company-wide learning initiatives. This role ensures all employees--from operations to administration--receive effective onboarding, role-specific training, and continuous learning opportunities that align with Make Space's values and strategic objectives. They will oversee training design, manage the learning management system (LMS), support leadership development, and promote a culture of learning, safety and growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Program Oversight
Develop a scalable learning and development strategy across departments.
Coordinate the creation and implementation of structured orientation programs and onboarding experiences.
Define key learning outcomes and align with performance management.
Learning Delivery & Curriculum Development
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build customized training modules (ops, sales, admin).
Create blended learning materials (digital, in-person, and self-paced).
Oversee training content for health & safety, compliance, systems, soft skills, sales and customer service.
Collaborate with managers to create and provide training, tools, and resources that enhance employees' skills.
LMS Management & Tracking
Recommend, implement, and administer an LMS platform across all teams.
Maintain accurate training records, dashboards, and progress reports.
Integrate LMS data with HRIS for centralized visibility.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Build systems to evaluate training effectiveness (surveys, knowledge checks, manager feedback).
Use data to refine programs and identify new learning needs.
Maintain a regular update cycle for training materials and SOPs.
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as the internal learning champion and coach across teams.
Support the development of career paths and internal mobility programs.
Identify and train local "learning champions" to support site-level coaching.
Support & Compliance
Ensure all safety, compliance, and role-critical training is completed on time.
Support general HR initiatives, including policy rollouts and employee development plans.
Travel to locations to understand operational training needs and observe delivery.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or related field.
2-3 years in learning & development, training coordination, or HR with a strong training focus.
Safety training experience considered an asset.
Demonstrated experience implementing or administering an LMS.
Strong facilitation, instructional design, and communication skills.
Experience working with or supporting field teams (e.g., operations, logistics) is a strong asset.
CPHR designation or in progress is preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
