Job Summary

Be responsible for training, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of employees on station while ensuring company and customer services standards and policies are met. While maintaining a high level of proficiency and certification in required operational functions, on the Job Coaching activities at the station to ensure SPI and local specific requirements are met.

These training activities are focused on equipping Swissport leadership and associates with the competence and confidence to perform their designated functions and align with Swissport\xe2\x80\x99s core values - People, Professionalism, & Partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

Partner with Regional Training Manager/Station Training Manager, local HR, and Operations team to forecast and plan for new hire and recurrent training needs
Deliver initial & recurrent training in accordance with global and local standards
Administer examinations and progress reports for initial and recurrent training programs
Audit and evaluate operations/colleagues for compliance, and deliver corrective actions as necessary
Perform regular competency assessments for all new and existing employees within designated areas
Maintain Aviation/logistics industry and SPI regulatory training certifications required to serve as a trainer for designated functions
Responsible for the New Hire tracking process to ensure a smooth transition to the operations.
Manage on the job coaching program for designated area/functions and serves as tier one support for local certified coaches
Responsible for maintaining timely and accurate training records (digital and paper) for all employees within designated areas & functions
Serve as the on-site point of contact for internal and external training audits
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies

1-3 years of classroom instruction and/or on the Job (OJT) Trainer experience.
Supervisory experience in leading and directing large work groups. and evaluating performance. (Unionized environment would be an asset).
Knowledge of Airport operations and ramp procedures is an asset.
Be able to pass Transport Security Clearance (criminal background check).
Possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a clean driving history.
Obtain and maintain a valid airport RAIC and AVOP designation.
Computer systems: Microsoft Office (Word. Excel. PowerPoint. Microsoft Access) and graphic programs.

Flexible to work various shifts (days. evenings. nights. weekends. and holidays)
