Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, engaging students in meaningful activities, and supporting their academic and social development. This role requires a strong passion for education, a commitment to the arts, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children of diverse needs. The Teacher will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence among students.

Responsibilities



Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote active learning and participation Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues, parents/guardians, and support staff to meet each student's unique needs Incorporate early childhood education principles to foster foundational skills in young learners Use effective communication skills to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions among students

Experience



Classroom teaching experience is highly desirable Knowledge of inclusive education strategies Experience with teaching math, other core subjects, and the arts will be considered an asset Training, academic preparation and/or professional development in the following areas are considered assets: Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Indigeneity of curriculum, Anti-racism, Authentic assessment, Differentiation of instruction, Inclusion, Inquiry, and Data-driven teaching.
