Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team. We are a Tree Cutting company located in Richmond and we are mostly working in Richmond and Delta. This job is for a couple days a week, if we find a quality candidate we can offer more hours. The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around our worksite (roadside tree trimming and tree removal for bc hydro). This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Direct traffic around construction sites using appropriate hand signals and signage. Participate in morning safety meetings and ensure understanding with the hazards of every site Setting up cones, signs and operating pickup truck with arrow board lights safely Ensure the safety of workers and the public by monitoring traffic flow. Communicate effectively with team members and drivers to facilitate smooth operations. Assist in setting up and taking down traffic control devices as needed. Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or issues to supervisors. Collaborate with heavy equipment operators to ensure safe working conditions. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety. Previous experience in traffic control preferred Ability to use common sense as we have a constantly changing work environment as we move forward through the various tree work Strong communication skills, our other flagger has fluent english and spanish Driver license with clean abstract preferred, we like to have as many capable drivers as possible for safety and efficiency (clean new f150 arrowboard truck)
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.75-$33.75 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week
