Summary

We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Traffic Control Technicians to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic control systems to ensure the safe flow of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work zones of simple to intermediate complexity.

What you will do Everyday

Install, maintain, and remove advance warning signs, channelizing devices, and other traffic control equipment in accordance with Federal, Provincial, and Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and approved traffic control plans. Drive company vehicles to transport equipment, trailers, and crew members to and from job sites. May be required to tow lightweight trailers. Communicate effectively with crew members using two-way radios to ensure site coordination and safety. Follow all company safety policies and procedures without exception. Provide mentorship, coaching, and on-the-job training to junior team members Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to workdays/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability

Qualifications Needed

High School Diploma with related experience Valid Alberta Class 5 and submission of a 5-year Commercial Driver's Abstract with less than 5 demerits Air Brakes (Q) Endorsement is an asset
