Competitive Compensation Package

$22 - $28 per hour,

Job Summary

The Traffic Control Personnel will be responsible for keeping workers and the public safe by watching construction access gates, setting up, and operating work-zone traffic control. They will be actively involved in all aspects of the safety function for the company. Reporting to the Superintendent and Safety Advisor.

Traffic Control Personnel's critical expectations will include, but are not limited to:

Ensure safety, access and traffic management onsite. Recognition of safety hazards, appropriate precautions, and inform others of hazards Effectively work with others to get the job done Quality Control Other functions that include other activities on construction sites, as directed

Qualifications

Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification Working knowledge of WorkSafeBC Health & Safety Manual and Traffic Management Manual Ability to work Monday to Friday with some overtime Comfortable working in a physically demanding work environment that may include lifting heavy equipment and materials Self-motivated, creative thinking, organized, and efficient with good oral and written English communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, manual dexterity, and sense of balance. Valid, intermediate first aid certificate an asset.
