Dawson Road Maintenance Ltd. efficiently maintains public local roads, main highways, and bridges in accordance to the specifications set out by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI). Utilizing highly trained personnel, innovative technologies and products, a diverse fleet of specialized maintenance equipment, and real time weather forecasting; Dawson Road Maintenance works hard to continuously apply maintenance where and when it is needed. We provide these services to ensure British Columbians are safely connected, every day.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working as a temporary, full-time, Traffic Control Person, reporting to: Road Foreman. To be considered for this role, you should have good knowledge of safety around equipment, an eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Prioritize safety of yourself and your team in all aspects of the job
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any concerns or malfunctions to supervisors
  • Learn and follow safety regulations
  • Perform all necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures
  • Stop, slow, and safely direct traffic through work or construction sites
  • Protect workers in the construction zone by regulating traffic flow
  • Give traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely so that motorists understand their meaning
  • Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Flagging experience and BCCSA Traffic Control Ticket is an asset
  • Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License
  • Be available for on call work
