Traffic Control Person (Flagger)

:

Bourque Security Security Services NS is seeking hard-working, dependable, and safety-oriented workers to join our traffic control team. As a Traffic Control Person, you shall be responsible for assisting and the directing of traffic through our temporary workplaces under the supervision of a Temporary workplace Signer and in accordance with the Nova Scotia Traffic Control Manual.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of a certified Temporary Workplace Signer (TWS). Assist in setting up signs, bases, cones, and other equipment used in temporary workplaces for construction/maintenance and utility work. Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through the Temporary Workplace. Maintain professional communication fellow TCPs and your TWS to ensure continued site safety. Maintain a professional & polite attitude with the public and clients at all times. Allow work to proceed safely and efficiently. Arrive well rested and with the required Personal Protective Equipment for every shift. Report all unsafe work situations and conditions to the TWS Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be of good physical and mental alertness. Must be of mature judgement. Must be of pleasant, cooperative manner. Must be able to lift and move objects of 50lbs.

Certifications:

Drivers License (Preferred/not required) Nova Scotia TCP Certificate (Preferred/will train) First Aid Course (Preferred) WHMIS (Preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 50 per week
