Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and directing traffic at construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the public. This position requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. A background in heavy equipment operation or paving is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

Direct traffic flow at construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and vehicles. Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers. Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and construction personnel. Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control measures as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient site operations. Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Experience in paving or construction is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Must be able to follow safety protocols and procedures diligently.

Pay: $21.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
