Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Traffic Controller to oversee and manage traffic flow at construction sites and roadwork zones. Must be available to start immediately and work weekends as needed. This is a short term contract period of approximately 7-10 days

Duties

Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction zones to ensure safety for workers and the public Set up signage, barriers, and traffic control devices according to safety standards and project requirements Communicate effectively with construction teams, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as needed to prevent congestion or hazards Ensure all traffic control equipment is maintained, properly positioned, and compliant with safety regulations Document daily activities, incidents, or safety concerns for reporting purposes

Qualifications

TCP Level 1 and Class 5 Drivers license required Knowledge of construction safety standards and traffic management protocols Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment safely Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and the public effectively Attention to detail and a focus on safety procedures at all times Physical ability to stand for extended periods, set up barriers, and perform manual tasks as required
May lead to full time employment for the right candidate

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week

Work Location: In person
