NATIONAL TRAFFIC SAFETY MANAGEMENT INC. is growing again and requires:

TEAM LEADS - Highway

CRASH TRUCK DRIVERS (DZ License)- Highway

CREWS/HIGHWAY HELPERS / (G License)-Barrel Trucks - Highway

FLAGGERS (TCPs) (G License) for Non-Highway Traffic Control

National is a leader in providing Traffic Control Planning, Crash Truck Crews and Flagging Crews to accommodate safe lane closures and protect infrastructure worksites throughout Ontario. Our crews are unionized members of LiUNA, highly skilled and operate in strict accordance with M.T.O. Book 7.

We are expanding and are now looking for Highway Leads, TMA Crash Truck Drivers, CREW Highway Helpers and TCPs to operate out of TORONTO, OSHAWA, PICKERING, WHITBY (GTA), HAMILTON, BURLINGTON and NIAGARA Region for assignments throughout the "Golden Horseshoe" area.



This is a career opportunity, as the successful candidate could become a crew leader. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidates will ideally bring the following traits and experience:

DZ License (Crash Truck Driver) G License (Highway Leads & Helpers/Barrel Truck Crew) with a clean driving record and a good driver's abstract. This will be checked.

M.T.O. Book 7 Traffic Control training.

Experience in set-up & take down of traffic lane closures for highway & municipal roads.

High level of integrity; demonstrates professional and ethical behaviour.

A "can do" attitude with a strong commitment to achieve complete customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package that includes an hourly rate ranging from $25.00 to $30.00 depending upon experience/union rates.

Responsibilities



Assist the driver in loading and unloading barrels/equipment from the vehicle. Ensure that all items are secured and organized during transit. Help navigate routes and provide assistance with directions as needed. Excellent communication skills needed. Follow directives. Work with an App to submit paperwork/documents/hours. Must have a working smart phone as we work through Applications. Maintain communication with the team to ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues. Provide exceptional service protecting our contractors and crews, addressing any questions or concerns from clients. Adhere to all heath & safety regulations and company policies while on duty.

Skills



Experience with Traffic Control is preferred. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus. Commercial driving experience is advantageous but not required. Basic automotive repair skills can be helpful for minor vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
