As a Traffic Attendant, you will be responsible for supporting vehicle and passenger traffic flow at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority's cruise ship terminal.
What
you'll
do:
Direct vehicles, passengers, and general access to and from the cruise facility at Canada Place.
Perform traffic attendant duties as required at Canada Place and cruise staging areas.
Requirement to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as recommended by regulatory agencies (i.e. steel toe boots, high-viz vests, etc.) All PPE will be provided by the port authority.
Maintain effective communication with passenger agents, ground transportation and service contractors, cruise passengers, and others while balancing the imperatives of customer service and operations efficiency.
Complete occurrence reports and/or complete daily logs as required.
Perform other assigned duties as required.
What you bring:
You are a team player and quick learner who has demonstrated that you have the ability to organize, problem-solve, and perform duties with minimum supervision.
You have excellent verbal and written communications skills along with excellent interpersonal skills.
You are frequently described as outgoing, confident, reliable, and assertive, while still maintaining courtesy and a strong customer?service focus. You demonstrate dependability and punctuality in all that you do.
You possess knowledge of a second language and a first aid ticket (considered an asset).

Normal Hours of Work:
Between 20 to 40 hours per week, including weekends (full time, part time and casual hours available)

Work Conditions
: Traffic Attendants will work on Canada Place grounds within the porte cochere and outside premises. Traffic Attendants will stand during their shifts, and they will be exposed to the weather elements.
To be eligible for this role, candidates must be available to attend mandatory Traffic Attendant training on April 27 and 28, as well as complete a shadow shift on either April 24 or April 29, 2026.
