• Our Recruiters are responsible for driving and executing all aspects of the talent acquisition/hiring process (sourcing, postings, screening, scheduling interviews/travel, etc.
• They will source, and pre-qualify both active and passive candidates through various methods including job boards, user/networking groups, databases, etc).
• We are looking for a candidate to become an integral part of the team who will assist and provide guidance through the candidate evaluation and decision making process to ensure the hiring of the most qualified Trade candidates.
• This position will consult with management on current and future staffing needs and will balance a large number of open positions, across multiple projects and disciplines, in a fast paced environment.
• This is a technical recruiter role, focused on trades and construction positions of all levels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years professional recruiting experience. At least 3 of these years must be experience in the oil and gas construction fields, in high volume, fast-paced environments.
• Candidates must have experience and knowledge with oil and gas, construction, or mining requirements
• Candidates must be disciplined self-starters with a can-do attitude
• Candidates must have proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with all levels of staff
• Excellent client management skills with a focus on setting expectations and communicating successes and barriers is required for this position
• The successful candidate will be a proactive, resourceful, collaborative team player who is detail oriented and has solid follow thru skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required for this position
• Candidates must have the ability to prioritize multiple functions, tasks and constantly prioritize and re-prioritize
• Prior applicant tracking system experience is required for this position
• Candidates must have extensive sourcing experience for both active and passive candidates.
• Candidates must be able to travel if required

Preferred Requirements:

• Candidates who have a staffing agency background are preferred.
• Candidates who have a Human Resources or Recruiting certification are preferred (RPR / PHR / SPHR / AIRS / Certified Diversity Recruiter / CIR)

Additional Information:

• This position will be remote based, with preference given to candidates based in Calgary, Edmonton or Greater Vancouver area.
• There is an opportunity for Fulltime employment either with Athenian Group or our clients, Candidates must be legal eligible to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Current Valid Permit Holder)
