Red Seal
trade designation for Wall & Ceiling Installers--to maintain and elevate the standards of workmanship across the industry.
Role Description
We are seeking a
Trades Instructor
for a contract position located on-site in
Langford, BC
. The Trades Instructor will be responsible for delivering training to apprentices in the wall and ceiling industry. Responsibilities include conducting practical workshops, delivering theoretical instruction, and evaluating apprentice progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience in the wall and ceiling industry is required
Demonstrated success in on-site apprentice training
Teaching or training experience preferred (experience as a superintendent, foreman, or similar role will be considered)
Solid understanding of apprenticeship programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on-site in Langford, BC
Relevant trade certification or Journeyperson status with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience (Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of certification; however, Red Seal certification is strongly preferred*)
Summary
Our innovative training model allows apprentices to pursue full trades training while continuing to work throughout the week. Classes are held on
Fridays and Saturdays
, running in
10-hour blocks over a 9-week period
.
As an instructor, you must be passionate about the Skilled Trades and committed to delivering high-quality instruction and mentorship. A broad and in-depth background in the wall and ceiling trade will be essential for effectively navigating our evolving curriculum, which is designed to enlighten, engage, and challenge students on their path to Red Seal certification.
