What You'll Be Doing
As a member of the Trade Finance team, you'll play a key role in supporting our Documentary Credits and Documentary Collections trade products. As a Trade Finance Officer, you'll provide assistance to a hardworking and production focused team dedicated to the success of CIBC Trade clients on a global basis. You'll verify and prepare checklists for shipping documents, digitize documents for processing, handle incoming and outgoing dispatches, and manage a variety of administrative tasks. You'll work closely with other Trade Finance centres and internal partners in Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Business Banking, and Retail Banking. This is a fast-paced environment where your attention to detail and organizational skills will help us meet deadlines and deliver excellent service.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How You'll SucceedSupport trade operations - Verify and prepare checklists for shipping documents, digitize documents, and manage dispatches for the production teams.
Follow procedures - Use internal technology platforms such as Trade360, and follow documented operational procedures and regulatory standards.
Leverage technology - Use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) to complete daily tasks efficiently.
Collaborate and contribute - Work with your team to deliver a great client experience and contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned.
Organize and prioritize - Receive, sort, and scan incoming documents, prepare courier waybills, and create SWIFT tracers for late payments.

It's an asset if you have at least 1 year of experience in a Trade Finance Operations role, specifically handling Documentary Credits or Documentary Collections in a financial institution.

You're fluent in French and English to support business operations outside of Quebec, Canada.
