Mission

The Trade Field Foreman is responsible for overseeing the onsite activities, scheduling and coordination of all trades and subcontractors working within an assigned operating area. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of the project\'s construction within your scope of operation. A deadline-driven, safety-conscious individual with the ability to converse with both trades and the boardroom will thrive in this role. Previous self-performing construction foreman experience on large infrastructure projects is a must.

Main Responsibilities

Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with subcontractors

Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Prepare work progress reports

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans

Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew

Allocate general and daily responsibilities

Ensure staffing plans and resources are adequate

Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met

Supervise the use of machinery and equipment

Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget

Resolve problems diplomatically and in line with company values when they arise

Profile

Proven experience as construction foreman

Degree in Construction Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification and years of experience

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines. Lead by example when it comes to Safety, Environmental requirements

Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Ability to communicate and report effectively- computer literacy a must

On-the-fly problem-solving abilities

Must be able to work construction hours during peak times and be deadline-driven. Work may be across segments of the project, and may be at-heights, or in-process construction sites, on wet or muddy terrain.
